Holiday Contest

As we approach the holiday's it is a good time to enter a contest with a chance to win a prize that you can keep for yourself, give to someone else, or use it to help pay for someone else's gift! Starting today and going until Saturday night everyone who makes a quality comment will be entered into a drawing for a Walmart $15 music download gift card. There will be 2 prizes awarded!! The more comments the more entries! I think that this card can also be used at the store to pay for items, but I'm not positive. The walmart website has a huge selection of songs and CD's to download. It is similar to itunes. $15 will get you a lot of great music! On Sunday I will announce the winners and immediately stick the gift cards in the mail Monday morning so it will be guaranteed to arrive way before Christmas. This will be a great way to participate in Random Encounters of We and perhaps earn yourself a gift card! Let the commenting begin!!!

A Very Fun Game!

A family member told me about this awesome game! It is called Statetris. It is a very fun spin off of Tetris. There are different difficulty levels. I played easy and successfully completed the United States in 4:16. There are also different versions with all the different continents and countries! This is a very fun way to pass some time, but feel as though you are being educated at the same time! Play the game and report back to me what time you get! Everyone who gets a time faster than my 4 minutes and 16 seconds will get a link on my site. This fun little competition will end Monday so get playing!

Blog Reviews

I thought I would help this blog out by participating in Sponsored Reviews as an advertiser. I listed this blog and have received a lot of offers. I had 10 offers done. I thought that perhaps by having 10 blogs that I hadn't formerly linked with talk about this blog that I would generate a new little buzz. This plan has brought a little bit of traffic, but nothing like I expected. What I have learned from my attempts at advertising this blog is that I need to logically think through what my goals for advertising are, and which outlet will provide me with the most "bang for my buck." While I enjoy having blogs review Random Encounters of We, it isn't accomplishing the job I wanted done. My next step in advertising this site will be through Link Referral. I'm going to buy a top listing position on that website and that should bring in a lot of traffic. Our friends over at Blog About Your Blog did this for a month or two and saw tremendous results. We can look forward to that plan being implemented in September. If you have any other suggestions to advertise this blog and get the word out please let me know!
